The next great mixed martial arts show from Donofrio Entertainment, in association with Impact Fight League, is not only the first major professional mixed martial arts show to be held in the state of Michigan, but it also comes with a big-name competitor in the main event.

“Malice At The Palace” takes place JANUARY 30 at 7:00 PM at the world-famous PALACE OF AUBURN HILLS and will include fifteen MMA fights put together by matchmaker Anne Morrell, and featuring the best fighters from around the Great Lakes area, some of whom will be vying for championship belts issued by the Impact Fight league.

The featured attraction, however, comes all the way from Los Angeles. He’s JIMMY SMITH, the host of “Fight Quest” on the Discovery Channel and a professional fighter who is coming back to action at the age of 32.

Smith originally began as a wrestler, and after entering UCLA, he gravitated into Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, which would become a passion. He competed in a host of tournaments, including the Southern California Pro-Am, the Copa Pacifica, the Gracie Open and the Cleber Luciano tournament. Then, working with Team Punishment in Huntington Beach, CA (the camp founded by Tito Ortiz) he ventured into competitive mixed martial arts. making his debut in December of 2003 with a decision win over Matt Stansell at a King of the Cage event.
