JUNIOR DOS SANTOS SET TO RECLAIM CROWN

The UFC universe is looking forward to another entertaining match as former UFC Heavyweight Champ Junior Dos Santos is set to face fierce rival Stefan Struve.

The fight between these two superstars will be his first bout since picking up a shoulder injury in July.

The highly anticipated showdown between Santos and Stefan will be a rematch after both strikers reached a successful agreement. It would be recalled that both fighters last clash was eight years Ago in UFC 105 headliner. Dos Santos, who spoke to MMA junkie, had this to say about their imminent fight:

“So I was happy he took the fight. It’s not relevant at the moment, but some athletes turned it down, made up excuses not to fight. So I was happy he took the fight. “He’s coming off a good moment, good wins. He’s right there around the top 10, and I’m sure it will be a great fight.”

While the bout between this duo is a rematch, both men have highly improved on their performances since their first encounter in UFC 95, eight years ago. Struve who had a successful UFC Debut against Fabricio Werdum and tasted defeat to Santos has gone on to acquaint himself with the UFC at a point pulling off a four-fight streak, eventually crowning it up with a triumph over current champ Stipe Miocic.

Furthermore, the fearless “Skyscraper” as he is fondly called, is now a highly rated fighter and his opponents Santos very well knows that, hence, he is not taken their bout lightly.

Santos who doesn’t hide his desires of reclaiming his title believes a victory over Struve will improve his chances of fighting current champ Miocic but is unsure if he would get a shot as other fighter are equally routing to take on the current heavyweight champ.
